Swansea City

Swansea have become just about everyone's second team in the Premier League, (except Cardiff of course), thanks to their attractive style of play. The club reached the big time in 2011/12 and finished 11th with much of the same squad as they came up from the Championship with.

In order to improve their performance this year, boss Michael Laudrup went out and bought players such as Michu - arguably the bargain of the season, Chico Flores and Pablo Hernandez. The club finished in ninth place in the table, winning the Carling Cup in the process in what was a highly successful both on the pitch and off it.
